New Cabinet Meeting Structure and What This Means For You!

by Hamdi Jimale, Director of Internal Affairs

The Toronto Youth Cabinet is excited to announce a new meeting structure for our monthly Cabinet meetings. The new meeting structure is outlined as follows:
6:00-6:15pm: Welcome & Food
6:15-7:00pm: Presentations and Discussions
7:00-8:00pm: Breakout into TYC Working Groups
8:00pm: Closing Remarks

Why the change?
This new structure is intended to set a clear overview and ensure consistency. By laying out what Cabinet meetings are going to cover and allotting a certain amount of minutes to each item, this structure will ensure efficient use of time in our monthly Cabinet meetings.

What do these changes mean for you?
Setting a structure will give TYC members and attendees a better sense of how the meeting will flow. Under the new meeting structure, TYC members and attendees will continue to stay up-to-date with important TYC-related news, engage in discussions, and meet with working groups.

Aren’t in a working group?
No problem, TYC is always welcoming new members to get involved with working groups! Attending a Cabinet meeting will also be an opportunity to explore and learn about the working groups at the TYC.

Your feedback and input is important to us as we continue to assess this new structure. Feel free to contact us at if you have questions or a comment!
