Dear TYC members,
I am writing today to express my deepest gratitude for all the work that you have done over the past 7 months. I know that the work can be tough, time-consuming, and often go without the proper acknowledgement both internally and externally, but I want you to know that I have noticed and greatly appreciate the hours that each of you have put into this organization.
Since becoming Executive Director in June, I have had the pleasure of working with many of you personally. I can confidently say that this group is one of the hardest working and most energetic I have been a part of, both on the projects we pursue as an organization and on the projects individuals pursue outside of TYC roles.
The final four months of this term are going to be incredibly busy. We have an ambitious schedule that includes TYC Innovate, the Summit, the Urban Health Working Group's focus groups, the piloting of the Community Solutions Lab, the launch of GetYourHours.org, and a renewed focus on organizational/ team development, among others. This is a lot. In fact, this will be TYC's most ambitious period in years, but I have great faith in the teams that we have built and are continuing to build.
With that being said, it is important that you take care of yourself. As they say, "You can't pour from an empty cup. Take care of yourself first." If at any time you feel like you are taking on too much or need extra support, please email me immediately and we can make sure we adjust to make sure you have what you need to continue on in a healthy way. Communication is going to essential as we head into this busy season.
Thank you again for a great 2015. Let's work on making 2016 even better.
Happy New Year!
